Job summary

ITC Infotech requires an experienced IT Project Manager to lead software development initiatives in a structured environment. You will plan, monitor and control projects across departmental teams while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IT project management, hands-on software engineering exposure, and experience handling RFPs with vendors. Airline industry familiarity is a plus; the role emphasizes governance and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in IT project management for software development.
• Experience in both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum).
• Hands-on software engineering experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT software development projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans covering scope, timeline, budget, resources and deliverables.
• Lead the RFP process with requirements, vendor evaluation, selection and contracting.
• Create governance cadence for monitoring and guidance from stakeholders.
• Ensure optimal resource utilization and lead the project team to success.
• Foster open communication channels with team and stakeholders.
• Manage tasks, dependencies, risks and issues; track progress and milestones.
• Conduct project reviews to identify successes and areas for improvement.
• Monitor costs and ensure delivery within approved budget.

Job description

• Bachelors in Engineering (or similar) is highly desirable
• Experience in Project managing IT (Software Development) projects for at least 5 years.
• Airline industry experience will be added advantage.
• Initial Software Engineering (hands-on) experience is highly desirable
• Ability to manage (Plan, Run, Monitor/Control/Report) projects in Traditional waterfall and Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum).
• Ability to align, engage and drive work with multi-disciplinary team members across various IT departments.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, resources, and deliverables for both in-house and vendor product implementation projects.
• Lead the Request for Purchase (RFP) process with documenting requirements, identifying suitable vendors, vendor evaluation & selection and contracting.
• Create a project specific Governance / Cadence to ensure right level of monitoring and guidance from the right stakeholders.
• Ensure effective utilization of resources and lead the project team towards success of the project.
• Foster open and clear communication channels within the project team and with all stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress and updates effectively through regular status reviews and reporting.
• Manage project tasks and dependencies, tracking progress and ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Proactively manage and resolve issues to minimize project impact.
• Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet defined standards.
• Monitor project costs, ensuring that the project is delivered within the approved cost.
• Implement effective change controls to manage any changes that come after the project baseline.
• Manage any changes to Scope, Timeline and Cost through the defined Project Change Request process.
