Job summary

GOTION HIGH-TECH in Dubai is seeking a senior energy storage project leader to manage end-to-end projects across the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa. You will drive opportunities from pre-sales through contract readiness, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in renewable energy or EPC, strong tendering and contract negotiation experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, Energy Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy, power, energy storage, or EPC industries; pre-sales, tendering, project management or contract negotiation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of energy storage projects from opportunity initiation to contract signing.
• Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP and large-scale tender activities with cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage customer requirements, risks, and align technical/commercial/delivery needs.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal and other functions.
• Organize handover to project execution team after contract signing.

Job description

• Lead the end-to-end management of energy storage projects across the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa, from opportunity initiation, customer requirement clarification, solution development, and tendering through commercial negotiations and contract signing. Develop project plans and drive key milestones to ensure timely completion.
• Lead RFI, RFQ, RFP, and large-scale project tender activities. Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and other functions to develop technical solutions, pricing, delivery plans, contract deviation analysis, and project risk assessments.
• Customer Requirement Management
• Understand the technical, commercial, delivery, grid connection, performance guarantee, localization, and after-sales requirements of customers, project owners, and EPC contractors. Establish and maintain requirement and clarification lists, ensuring all open items are continuously tracked and closed.
• Identify project risks related to technology, cost, pricing, delivery, certification, grid connection, guarantees, and contractual responsibilities. Organize internal discussions and management-level decision-making when required, and drive timely resolution of critical issues.
• Customer Communication
• Participate in customer technical meetings, workshops, clarification meetings, and commercial negotiations. Act as the primary project coordination interface during the pre-sales stage, ensuring accurate communication and alignment between customer requirements and internal teams.
• Project Handover
• Upon contract signing, organize the handover to the project execution team, ensuring a complete transfer of contractual requirements, technical solutions, customer commitments, project schedules, risks, and outstanding issues.

Requirements

• Education
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, Energy Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Experience
• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy, power, energy storage, or EPC industries. Experience in pre-sales, tendering, project management, or contract negotiation for large-scale energy storage projects is highly preferred.
• Technical Knowledge
• Solid understanding of large-scale energy storage systems and key technical specifications. Familiarity with battery containers, PCS, BMS, EMS, grid connection, RTE, Availability, and other key energy storage requirements. Ability to understand customer technical specifications and identify critical project risks.
• Project Management Skills
• Strong capabilities in project planning, scheduling, risk management, and cross-functional coordination. Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
• Language & Communication
• Fluent in English, with the ability to independently lead customer and internal project meetings. Strong skills in English reporting, meeting minutes, presentations, and project communication.
• Travel & Relocation
• Willingness to be based in Dubai or Saudi Arabia and travel across the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa as required.

Position Overview

The role is responsible for driving projects from “sales opportunity” to “contract-ready and execution-ready”, ensuring clear alignment across technical, commercial, contractual, and delivery requirements throughout the pre-sales stage.

Because discovering that everyone had a different understanding of the project after the contract is signed is an unnecessarily expensive way to build team spirit.
