Job summary

Safety leadership role for a Chennai-based project, seeking a senior HSE professional with 20+ years of experience in construction/industrial environments. You will design and implement HSE plans, lead site audits, and manage emergencies to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Required NEBOSH certification and a Bachelor’s in a related field; ISO 45001 experience highly desirable; Gulf experience preferred. UAE-based candidates may apply depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH IGC or IDip certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 20 years of progressive HSE management experience, preferably in construction/industrial projects.
• Proven ability to develop and implement HSE management systems (e.g., ISO 45001).

Develop and implement comprehensive HSE plans tailored to the specific risks of the Chennai project site, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements. Conduct rigorous site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations. Lead and manage emergency response planning and drills, ensuring the site team is prepared to effectively handle any safety or environmental incidents. Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or International Diploma (IDip) in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in HSE management, with a significant portion in construction or industrial projects.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing robust HSE management systems (e.g., ISO 45001).

Eligibility Criteria

• Experience in Pipeline, Oil & Gas, EPC, Flowline, Wellhead, Brownfield, Upstream, or Onshore projects.
• Gulf or ADNOC experience is preferred.
• Clean‑shaven policy applicable.
• Candidates with Metro, Building, or Road Infrastructure experience are not eligible.

Age Criteria

Maximum age limit is 49 years. For managerial positions, this may be extended up to 50 years if the candidate has significant Gulf experience.

Managerial and Senior Positions

A minimum of 5 years of Gulf experience in the relevant field is mandatory.
