Job summary

Al-Futtaim Technologies in Dubai is seeking an experienced Technical Manager – ICT, ELV & AV to lead the technical planning, design, implementation and delivery of ICT, ELV and AV projects.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants and vendors to ensure projects meet quality standards, specifications and timelines; you will review drawings, prepare documentation and supervise installation, testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of ICT, ELV, AV or related engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with installation, testing, commissioning and system integration.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, security systems, access control, surveillance, and networking.
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes; basic AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documentation including submittals, method statements, manuals and training documents.

• Coordinate with consultants and customers to resolve technical queries and obtain approvals.

Job Overview

Al-Futtaim Technologies is looking for an experienced Technical Manager – ICT, ELV & AV to join its Dubai team. In this role, you will lead the technical planning, design, implementation, and delivery of ICT, ELV, and Audio Visual (AV) projects. You will work closely with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed according to quality standards, technical specifications, and project timelines.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in ICT infrastructure, security systems, structured cabling, AV solutions, and project engineering.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Prepare technical documentation including material submittals, method statements, operation manuals, maintenance manuals, and training documents.


• Review engineering drawings before submission to consultants or clients.


• Coordinate with consultants and customers to resolve technical queries and obtain approvals.


• Design technical solutions that meet project requirements while maintaining cost efficiency.


• Develop system architecture, schematic designs, and technical proposals.


• Ensure engineering designs comply with local regulations and manufacturer recommendations.


• Monitor engineering activities during project execution.


• Coordinate project resources with project management teams.


• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and system integration activities.


• Maintain complete technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.


• Participate in technical meetings and client presentations.


• Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.


• Ensure projects are delivered on time while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a related field.


• PMP Certification is preferred.


• 7–10 years of experience in ICT, ELV, AV, or related engineering projects.


• Hands‑on experience with installation, testing, commissioning, and system integration.


• Knowledge of structured cabling, security systems, access control, surveillance, audio visual solutions, and networking.


• Familiarity with quality assurance (QA/QC) processes.


• Basic AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.


• Understanding of networking concepts, troubleshooting, and ICT infrastructure.
