Job summary

Sharaf DG in Dubai is seeking a mid-level Project Coordinator with a background in engineering to oversee electrical/electronics projects on-site, coordinating subcontractors, schedules, and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering, 2+ years experience, proficiency in MS Office, and a UAE driving license. You will ensure safety compliance, monitor progress, and support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical or Eq.).
• Min 2 year experience.
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Software Knowledge – MS Office, MS Projects/ Primavera will be preferred.
• UAE Driving License + Vehicle

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and monitoring project lists, schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
• Managing site with sub-contractor
• Coordinate with the subcontractor on Daily/ weekly tasks.
• Daily site progress report monitoring and updating client
• Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
• Ensuring project deadlines are met
• Providing administrative support as needed.
• Undertaking project tasks as required.
• Developing project strategies.
• Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
• Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
• Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
• Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
• Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective
• Schedule to be prepared and monitor the progress
• Client meeting and presenting project progress.
• Ensure all site activities comply with project safety plans and local safety regulations.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and report any hazards or unsafe practices.
• Make sure all workers wear proper PPE and always follow safe work procedures.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and toolbox talks with the team.
• Report any accidents, near misses, or safety concerns immediately and take corrective action.
• Coordinate with the safety officer to implement and maintain site-specific safety measures.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of lighting materials and equipment on site.
• Monitor installation work to ensure it meets project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and site walkthroughs to check workmanship.
• Review material deliveries to confirm they match approved samples and specifications.
• Identify and address any quality issues or defects promptly with the site team.
• Maintain proper documentation of quality checks, test reports, and inspection records.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure their work meets the required quality benchmarks.
• Ensure final handover meets client expectations, and all punch-list items are closed out.
