Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a skilled Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Professional to develop and maintain HSE programs across our operations in Abu Dhabi. You will advise project teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in safety culture.

The role requires 3-5 years in a high-risk industry, a degree in engineering or science with HSE qualifications (NEBOSH IGC), strong communication, and experience with ISO 14001 and 45001.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience as an HSE Advisor in a high-risk industry.
• Degree/Diploma in relevant engineering/science with HSE qualifications (NEBOSH IGC).
• Client-facing experience preferred and ISO 14001/45001 knowledge.
• Strong communication, training development and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Advise project team on health and safety requirements and standards.
• Maintain Project HSE Plan and Emergency Preparedness Plan.
• Conduct HSE drills (fire, environmental, rescue).
• Review risk assessments, method statements, and subcontractor HSE plans.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Lead audits of HSE Operating System and drive compliance.
