Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a skilled Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Professional to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs across our operations in Dubai.

You will drive compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement while supporting the Centre of Expertise and project teams to foster a strong safety culture. The role requires 3–5 years of HSE experience, a related degree, and NEBOSH IGC certification.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience as an HSE Advisor in a high-risk industry, preferably in substation EPC jobs.
• Degree/Diploma in Mech/Chemical/Civil/Environmental Engineering/Electrical/Science with additional qualification in HSE.
• Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH IGC).
• Experience in a client-facing role is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of applicable Codes of Practice and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Project HSE Plan and Emergency Preparedness Plan.
• Conduct HSE drills – Fire/Environmental/Rescue.
• Review Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Subcontractor HSE Plans.
• Investigate all incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and report HSE statistics and support ISO 14001/45001 initiatives.
