Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a proactive Emirati HSE professional to develop and maintain comprehensive EHS programs across operations in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on improving HSE performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving risk management through operational excellence in Hitachi Energy’s value chain.

You will support the Centre of Expertise, facilitate Centre delivery, and foster a strong safety culture with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• HSE knowledge and practical experience required.
• Degree/Diploma in Mech/Chemical/Civil/Environmental Engineering/Electrical/Science with HSE qualification.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification preferred.
• Client-facing experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Advise project teams on health and safety requirements and standards for site activities.
• Maintain Project HSE Plan and Emergency Preparedness Plan.
• Conduct HSE drills and Life Saving Rules assessments.
• Review risk assessments, method statements, and subcontractor HSE plans.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and report HSE statistics.
