Job summary

Azizi Developments, through Royal Infrastructure, seeks a Project Director – Infrastructure Works to provide leadership and deliver major infrastructure projects from planning through handover in the UAE. The role oversees civil, infrastructure, roads, bridges, drainage, utilities and related works, coordinating across engineering, construction, commercial, procurement, QA/QC and HSE teams.

The successful candidate will have extensive senior management experience in civil/infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering.
• Professional qualifications in Project Management / Construction Management are desirable.
• PMP, APM, Chartered Engineer or equivalent certification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned infrastructure projects.
• Establish project execution strategies, objectives, priorities and delivery plans.
• Lead the project management team and provide clear direction to all departments.
• Ensure project objectives are achieved within approved budget, programme, quality and HSE requirements.
• Establish project organization structures, roles and responsibilities.
• Monitor overall project performance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Lead project mobilization, construction execution and demobilisation/handover.
• Ensure effective coordination between engineering, construction, commercial, procurement, QA/QC and HSE teams.

Education

Project Director – Infrastructure Works

responsible for the overall leadership, management and successful delivery of major infrastructure projects from planning and mobilization through construction, testing, commissioning and handover. The position provides strategic and operational leadership across civil, infrastructure, roads, bridges, drainage, utilities, earthworks, ground improvement, piling, shoring, marine and associated infrastructure works. The Project Director is accountable for project cost, programme, quality, HSE, resources, commercial performance, client relationships, subcontractors, consultants and overall project delivery. The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding and commercial awareness, with the ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams and complex construction interfaces.

Job Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Management

• External works and associated civil works Ensure construction methodologies are technically sound, practical and aligned with project requirements.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering.
• Professional qualifications in Project Management / Construction Management are desirable.
• PMP, APM, Chartered Engineer or equivalent certification would be an advantage.

Experience

• 20+ years of experience in civil/infrastructure construction.
• Minimum 8–10 years in senior management / project leadership roles.
• Proven experience as Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Director or equivalent.
• Experience managing major infrastructure projects in the UAE/GCC is highly desirable.
• Experience managing projects with significant civil, earthworks, utilities and structural components.
