Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator for post-contract activities in Dubai's interior design and fit-out sector. The role requires experience coordinating technical information, reviewing drawings and ensuring design intent is delivered on site.

The successful candidate will have 8+ years in the field, a relevant degree, and strong AutoCAD and document-management skills to manage complex projects across the UAE.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in interior design, architecture or fit-out.
• Ideally 4+ years UAE experience in post-contract/technical coordination.
• Degree or background in Architecture, Interior Design or Environmental Design.
• Strong technical knowledge of interior construction, detailing and installation methods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate post-contract activities ensuring information is reviewed, managed and issued efficiently.
• Review shop drawings, coordination drawings, material submittals and RFIs against design intent.
• Provide clear, technically accurate responses to contractor queries.
• Identify constructability issues and develop practical buildable solutions.
• Work with design and production teams to resolve technical issues before they become site problems.
• Coordinate technical information from MEP, lighting, AV/IT and other consultants.
• Log and track all incoming and outgoing information with the Document Controller.
• Carry out site inspections, workshops, snagging and de-snagging.
• Ensure works comply with UAE regulations and industry standards.
• Use AutoCAD and document management platforms like Aconex.
• Maintain strong communication with contractors, consultants, clients and internal teams.

SENIOR PROJECT COORDINATOR - POST CONTRACT

Dubai | Interior Design & Fit-Out

Are you an experienced Senior Project Coordinator with a strong background in interior design, architecture or fit-out, and a proven track record managing projects through the post-contract stage?

We are working with a leading Dubai-based design studio looking for a Senior Project Coordinator to take ownership of the post-contract phase of high-quality interior projects, acting as the vital link between design intent and successful on-site delivery.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the realities of construction, can confidently review technical information, and isn't afraid to challenge contractors when required to protect the quality and integrity of the design.

THE ROLE

You’ll take responsibility for coordinating post-contract activities, ensuring information is reviewed, managed and issued efficiently and accurately.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing post-contract workflows and ensuring reviews are completed to the required standards.
• Reviewing shop drawings, coordination drawings, material submittals and RFIs against design intent.
• Providing clear, technically accurate responses to contractor queries.
• Identifying constructability issues and developing practical, buildable solutions.
• Working closely with design and production teams to resolve technical issues before they become site problems.
• Coordinating technical information from MEP, lighting, AV/IT and other specialist consultants.
• Working alongside the Document Controller to ensure all incoming and outgoing information is properly logged and tracked.
• Carrying out site inspections, workshops, snagging and de-snagging.
• Ensuring works comply with UAE building regulations, accessibility requirements and recognised industry standards.
• Using AutoCAD and relevant document management platforms such as Aconex.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone with:

• 8+ years' industry experience across interior design, architecture or fit-out.
• Ideally 4+years' UAE experience within a similar post-contract or technical coordination environment.
• A degree or professional background in Architecture, Interior Design or Environmental Design.
• Strong technical knowledge of interior construction, detailing, materials and installation methods.
• Extensive experience reviewing shop drawings, coordination drawings and material submittals.
• The confidence to identify problems, find solutions and challenge contractors where necessary.
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of projects under pressure.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

ESSENTIAL

• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites across the UAE.
• Strong AutoCAD and technical drawing skills.
• Experience with document management systems such as Aconex.
