Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior Project Controls Manager to lead the overall Project Controls function on a major Oil & Gas EPC project. You will develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule and monitor cost, progress, and performance.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning, manage EVM, baseline management, and deliver weekly/monthly reports to the Project Manager and senior management.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of total experience in Project Controls/Planning.
• 10+ years in Oil & Gas EPC/EPCM.
• ADNOC project experience in the UAE is mandatory.
• Experience managing a Project Controls team.

• Provide accurate project performance information to the Project Manager and senior management.

Job description

• Lead and manage the overall Project Controls function for the Oil & Gas EPC project.

• Develop, maintain and monitor the Integrated Master Schedule and detailed project schedules.

• Manage project planning, scheduling, cost control, progress measurement, forecasting and reporting.

• Develop and maintain project baseline schedules, WBS, CBS, S-curves and performance measurement systems.

• Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules, milestones and key performance indicators.

• Perform critical path analysis, identify delays and develop recovery/mitigation plans.

• Manage project cost control, including budget, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, EAC and ETC.

• Monitor cost and schedule performance and identify variances, trends and potential risks.

• Establish and monitor progress measurement and earned value management (EVM) systems.

• Prepare and review weekly and monthly project controls reports, dashboards, S-curves and management reports.

• Review and validate contractor/subcontractor schedules, progress reports, cost reports and forecasts.

• Assess the impact of changes, variations, delays and claims on project cost and schedule.

• Support EOT, delay analysis and recovery schedule assessments.

• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Contracts, Commercial, HSE and Finance teams.

• Provide accurate project performance information and recommendations to the Project Manager/Project Director and senior management.

• Lead, supervise and mentor the Planning, Cost Control and Project Controls team.

• Ensure project controls activities comply with project procedures, contractual requirements and applicable ADNOC requirements.

• Participate in project review meetings with the Client, Consultant, Contractors and other stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 15 years of total professional experience in Project Controls/Planning.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas EPC/EPCM industry.

• Previous experience as Project Control Manager / Project Controls Manager / Project Controls Lead / Project Controls Head or equivalent.

• ADNOC project experience in the UAE is mandatory.

• Experience in managing Project Controls for large-scale EPC projects.

• Strong hands-on experience in Planning & Scheduling and Cost Control.

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.

• Experience in progress measurement, forecasting and performance monitoring.

• Strong knowledge of EVM, CPI, SPI, EAC and ETC.

• Experience in baseline management, critical path analysis and schedule control.

• Experience with WBS, CBS, S-curves and project performance reporting.

• Experience in change management, delay analysis and EOT/claims support.

• Experience reviewing and controlling contractor/subcontractor schedules and progress.

• Proven experience managing and leading a Project Controls team.

• Experience coordinating across Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning disciplines.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field.

• Strong communication, analytical, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
