Job summary

hudsonmanpower seeks an experienced Production Planner with strong expertise in structural steel fabrication for large-scale industrial projects including refineries, petrochemicals, fertilizer plants, and storage tank erection.

The candidate will review drawings, coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and project teams, and develop weekly and monthly production targets to ensure timely execution.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in production planning for structural steel, plate fabrication, piping spools, and tanks.
• Experience with EPC/industrial projects and oil & gas sectors.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project and advanced Excel.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and isometrics, with strong coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed production plans and schedules for structural steel, plate fabrication, piping spools, and tanks.
• Review drawings, specs, and BOQs to determine fabrication scope.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, and Project teams to ensure timely execution.
• Develop weekly/monthly targets and monitor progress against schedules.
• Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization to meet deadlines.
• Track material availability and coordinate with stores and procurement.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare production reports, MIS, dashboards, and progress presentations.
• Ensure compliance with specs, safety, quality.
• Support site erection teams with fabrication planning and dispatch coordination.
• Work with workshop supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner with strong expertise in steel fabrication (Structural, Plates, and Piping) for large-scale industrial projects including Refineries, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer Plants, and Storage Tank Erection. The candidate must have prior experience working with contracting companies engaged in fabrication and erection activities in the oil & gas and heavy industrial sectors.

F2F Interview in Kochi & Mumbai in 1st week of March.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed production plans and schedules for structural steel, plate fabrication, piping spools, and storage tanks.

• Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to determine fabrication scope and sequence.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, and Project teams to ensure timely execution.

• Develop weekly and monthly production targets and monitor progress against baseline schedules.

• Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization to meet project deadlines.

• Track material availability and coordinate with stores and procurement departments.

• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective action plans.

• Prepare production reports, MIS, dashboards, and progress presentations for management.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

• Support site erection teams with fabrication planning and dispatch coordination.

• Work closely with workshop supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to schedules.

1. Strong knowledge of:

   • Structural steel fabrication

   • Plate fabrication and storage tank works

   • Piping fabrication and spool management

2. Familiarity with refinery, petrochemical, and fertilizer project requirements.

3. Experience in contracting companies handling EPC/industrial projects.

4. Proficiency in planning tools such as:

   • Primavera (P6) or MS Project

   • Advanced Excel

   • ERP systems

5. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and isometrics.

6. Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.

7. Experience in multi-discipline project environments.
