Job summary

Manpower Middle East is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations for a client in the UAE's specialty chemicals and plastics sector. You will plan, direct, and optimize production processes to meet output targets while upholding strict quality, safety, and cost efficiency standards.

You will lead a team of supervisors and operators, drive continuous improvement using OEE and Lean methods, and ensure compliance with ISO standards across all production

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Production Manager or Senior Production Supervisor in specialty chemicals, plastics, or related process manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing process flows, OEE management, Lean/5S, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent leadership and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant production schedules to maximize output and on-time delivery.
• Monitor KPIs (OEE, yield, scrap, downtime) and drive continuous improvements.
• Ensure SOPs, safety protocols, ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) compliance.
• Control costs, optimize raw material use, and reduce waste across production lines.
• Lead and mentor production line supervisors and operators.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations for our client, a leader in the specialty chemical and plastics manufacturing sector. Reporting to Senior Management, you will plan, direct, and optimize production processes to meet output targets while maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Scheduling: Oversee daily plant production schedules to maximize output and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Process Optimization & Efficiency: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, scrap rate, and downtime, implementing continuous process improvements.
• Quality & Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Cost & Resource Management: Control operational expenditure, manage raw material utilization, and reduce waste across production lines.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor production line supervisors and operators to foster a safe, productive, and continuous-learning environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of continuous experience in a Production Manager or Senior Production Supervisor role within specialty chemicals, plastics, polymer compounding, or related process manufacturing industries.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of manufacturing process flows, OEE management, Lean Manufacturing / 5S principles, and root cause analysis.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
