Job summary

Confidential in Dubai is seeking an experienced Production Manager – Joinery to lead the joinery workshop, plan production, and drive efficiency for luxury interior fit-out projects. The role oversees a team of about 70, coordinates with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and installation teams.

You will review technical drawings, supervise CNC and woodworking machinery, manage materials and waste, and ensure on-time delivery to sites. Immediate joining preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in joinery production / interior fit-out manufacturing.
• Construction and interior fit-out experience is mandatory.
• Experience with luxury villas, high-end residential projects, renovations, and customized joinery is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in factory production, manpower, machinery, and production planning.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, doors, furniture, wall and ceiling works.
• Knowledge of wood, solid timber, MDF, veneers, laminates, hardware, and finishing materials.
• Excellent understanding of CNC and woodworking machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

Responsibilities

PRODUCTION MANAGER – JOINERY / INTERIOR FIT-OUT

Construction / Interior Fit-Out Background is a MUST

We are a growing interior fit-out and renovation company in Dubai with almost 300 employees. Our joinery factory is located in DIP 2 and currently has approximately 70 employees.

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager – Joinery who can manage our factory operations, strengthen the production team, improve efficiency, and increase production capacity as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Factory Operations

• Manage the daily operations of the joinery workshop and production team.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities according to project timelines.
• Coordinate workflow across machining, carpentry, assembly, painting, polishing, finishing, and preparation for installation.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Designers, Procurement, and Installation Teams.
• Ensure timely production and delivery of joinery items to project sites.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.

Joinery & Technical Supervision

• Oversee the production of wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, doors, customized furniture, wall and ceiling works, and other bespoke joinery items.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, AutoCAD files, BOQs, and project specifications.
• Supervise machine operations including CNC routers, panel saws, cutting machines, edge banders, assembly, and finishing equipment.
• Oversee painting and polishing works, including spray paint, PU, polish, veneer, high-gloss, matte, and other premium finishes.
• Resolve technical and production-related issues during fabrication.

Quality Control

• Ensure all production meets approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Implement quality control procedures from raw material inspection through final finishing.
• Conduct final inspections before dispatch to ensure all items are ready for installation.
• Maintain the high level of workmanship required for luxury villas, high-end residential projects, and premium interior fit-outs.

Manpower & Resource Management

• Manage and supervise approximately 70 factory employees, including carpenters, machine operators, painters, polishers, finishers, upholsterers, and support staff.
• Allocate manpower, materials, and machinery according to production requirements.
• Monitor team productivity and performance.
• Provide proper guidance and supervision to improve production output and workmanship.

Material, Cost & Waste Control

• Monitor material usage, wastage, inventory, and production costs.
• Coordinate with Procurement to ensure materials are available according to production schedules.
• Identify opportunities to reduce wastage and production costs without compromising quality.
• Improve workshop efficiency and minimize machinery and manpower downtime.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Implement and maintain health and safety standards within the workshop.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and properly organized factory environment.
• Conduct appropriate safety briefings and ensure employees follow company HSE procedures.
• Ensure production activities comply with relevant Municipality, Civil Defense, fire-rated material, building authority, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in joinery production / interior fit-out manufacturing.
• Construction and interior fit-out experience is mandatory.
• Strong experience in luxury villas, high-end residential projects, renovations, and customized joinery is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in managing factory production, manpower, machinery, and production planning.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, doors, furniture, wall and ceiling works.
• Strong knowledge of wood, solid timber, MDF, veneers, laminates, hardware, and finishing materials.
• Excellent understanding of CNC and woodworking machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, production tracking, Lean Manufacturing, QC, and reporting is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Additional certifications in Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, CNC Operations, Quality Management, or HSE are an advantage.
