Job summary

Al Mufilh Eng. Turning is seeking an experienced planning engineer to handle RFQs, interpret drawings, estimate manufacturing costs, and plan production orders in coordination with turning and milling supervisors. You will ensure timely delivery and maintain production quality while coordinating with logistics for deliveries.

The role requires 6–8 years in machine shop planning, strong CNC knowledge, and familiarity with oil and gas parts. A Diploma or Engineering degree (NTTF) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or NTTF with 6–8 years in a machine shop.
• Experience operating CNC Turning, CNC Milling and Drilling for planning/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of oil and gas parts and their specifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive RFQs from customers and assess requirements.
• Understand drawings and determine ideal machining methods.
• Compute manufacturing costs including time, tooling, jigs and fixtures.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Receive RFQs from customers


• Understand the drawings and ideal methods of machining


• Working out cost of manufacturing the part including the machining time, toolings cost, jigs and fixtures cost etc.


• Submitting the quote in the given time


• Job planning - Once the Order is placed by customer


• Acknowledging the order and create a work order for the same


• Once the details are entered in the ERP


• Job card is issued to the shop floor


• Job card will have all details of the job including drawing, inspection report, process flow etc.


• Order Execution - Work along with turning and milling supervisors to allocate the jobs on to the machine


• And to make sure the delivery date will be met


• Continues follow up with production and quality until completion of the job


• Any assistance for production and quality with regards to drawings job will be clarified with the customer directly via email


• Arranging the delivery one time coordinating with logistics team


• Compare the actual costing to complete the manufacturing and the value of quote submitted


• prepare a weekly report for the same and do necessary improvement actions


• Necessary date should be shared with production also in case the actual time is more than anticipated time


• ISO and API documentations as and when required


• Be part of any continues improvement activities

Qualifications

• NTTF OR Engineering diploma/ degree.6 8 years working experience in machine shop.


• Understand working of CNC Machines such as CNC Turning, CNC Milling, Drilling etc.6- 8 years' experience in working in planning, manufacturing department.


• Knowledge and understanding about oil and gas parts.
