Job description

As a part of the Landmark Group, a renowned retail and hospitality conglomerate in the Middle East, North Africa, and India, Landmark Digital is the dynamic digital arm of Landmark Retail, serving as the cornerstone of our omnichannel business strategy.

Headquartered in Dubai, UAE, we oversee the digital operations of eight leading brands across diverse geographies, with ambitious plans for expansion into new territories and functions. Joining us means becoming a vital part of the Middle East's most significant bricks-to-clicks success story, boasting an impressive year-on-year growth rate exceeding 100%.

Comprising a talented workforce of over 700 professionals across diverse domains, Landmark Digital spearheads various functions including Enterprise and E-commerce Tech, Product Management, User Design, and MarTech, among others. With our futuristic outlook, we are committed to delivering seamless digital experiences to our customers.

The Payments team owns the product backlog and day-to-day execution of the payment experience across seven key Landmark retail brands — Centrepoint, Max, Splash, Babyshop, Home Centre, Home Box and Emax — across GCC markets, with scope extending into new markets as the business expands. This role focuses on the payments leg of the checkout experience, including the integration, optimization and performance of the payment ecosystem.

As a Payments Product Manager, you will help shape and execute the payments roadmap across payment methods, payment gateways, BNPL and other payment capabilities. You will translate business, customer, partner and compliance needs into clear product priorities and drive initiatives from problem definition and analysis through delivery, UAT and release.

This is a hands-on product role. You will work closely with engineering, analytics, finance, operations, legal/compliance, brand teams and external payment partners to improve the reliability, conversion and overall customer experience of payments.

Key focus areas
  • Payments Product Roadmap & Execution — Drive delivery of payment initiatives across cards, wallet, COD, BNPL and other payment methods, from discovery and prioritization through release.
  • Payment Success Rate & Checkout Optimization — Analyze the payment funnel, identify failure and drop-off patterns, and work with engineering and partners to improve payment success, conversion and recovery.
  • Payment Gateway & Partner Management — Work with PSPs, acquirers, other payment partners on integrations, performance, incidents, operational issues and continuous improvements.
  • GCC Payments & Localization — Support payment experiences across GCC markets, understanding local payment methods, authentication requirements, currencies, regulatory considerations and market-specific customer behavior.
  • Payments Analytics & Problem Solving — Use data, dashboards, SQL and partner reporting to investigate payment performance, identify root causes and make data‑backed product decisions.
  • Payment Operations & Risk — Work with Finance, Operations and partners on disputes, chargebacks, reconciliation exceptions and other payment‑related operational issues.
  • Product Delivery & Release Management — Own requirements, prioritization, UAT and release readiness for payment changes, ensuring that initiatives are delivered reliably and with the right customer and business outcomes.
What you'll do
  • Own and continuously prioritize a defined area of the payments product backlog, balancing customer experience, business impact, payment performance, operational needs and technical dependencies.
  • Translate business and customer problems into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive payment initiatives end-to-end — from understanding the problem and analyzing data, through solution definition, engineering delivery, UAT and production release.
  • Work with the Senior Product Owner to shape and execute the broader payments roadmap across brands and GCC markets.
  • Analyse Payment Success Rate (PSR), payment funnel conversion, declines, failures, drop‑offs, retries and other payment metrics to identify opportunities and diagnose issues.
  • Work with engineering and payment partners to investigate payment failures, identify root causes and implement improvements across gateways, payment methods and checkout flows.
  • Coordinate with PSPs, acquirers, payment gateways and BNPL providers on integrations, performance, incidents, operational issues and product enhancements.
  • Support the rollout and optimization of payment methods across GCC markets, including cards, wallets, COD, BNPL and local payment methods such as Mada.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to track and resolve payment exceptions, disputes, chargebacks and reconciliation issues.
  • Coordinate UAT, release readiness and production validation for payment‑related changes, ensuring that changes meet agreed business and customer requirements.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Finance, Operations, Legal/Compliance and Brand teams to deliver payment experiences that are reliable, scalable and easy for customers to use.
  • Use product and delivery tools such as Azure Dev, Figma, analytics platforms and documentation tools to manage requirements, collaborate with teams and track delivery.
  • Build strong working knowledge of the payments ecosystem and continuously identify opportunities to improve conversion, payment reliability, cost, customer experience and operational efficiency.
What we’re looking for (required)
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, product ownership or a similar product/delivery role.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience in payments, fintech or e‑commerce checkout, with a strong understanding of the payment journey.
  • Practical experience working with payment gateways, PSPs, acquirers and/or BNPL providers in a product or delivery capacity.
  • Good understanding of GCC payments, including cards, 3DS2, local payment methods such as Mada, wallets and BNPL.
  • Experience working across multiple markets, currencies and payment methods, ideally within the GCC.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to use payment and funnel data to identify issues, investigate root causes and recommend improvements.
  • Working knowledge of payment funnel metrics, including Payment Success Rate, authorisation rates, declines, drop‑offs, retries and payment method performance.
  • Comfortable using SQL or equivalent data tools for basic payment and funnel analysis. You don't need to be a data analyst, but you should be comfortable getting into the data yourself.
  • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of card payments, payment gateway flows, authentication, BNPL integration and settlement.
  • Experience coordinating with external payment partners on integrations, incidents, operational issues and performance improvements.
  • Strong product execution skills — able to break down ambiguous problems, prioritize effectively, manage dependencies and keep initiatives moving.
  • Familiarity with modern product and delivery tools such as Azure DevOps/Jira, Figma, analytics and documentation tools.
  • Working knowledge of PCI‑DSS, payment security and relevant compliance considerations.
Nice to have
  • large-scale, multi‑brand or marketplace e-commerce platform
  • GCC payments ecosystem, including regional PSPs, acquirers, wallets, BNPL providers and local payment methods.
  • wallet or loyalty‑linked payment products, such as Shukran Pay.
  • payment orchestration, routing or intelligent payment optimization.
  • dispute, chargeback, reconciliation and settlement workflows.
  • Experience working with payment performance optimization, fraud/risk or checkout conversion initiatives.
  • Experience launching payment products or methods across multiple GCC markets.
What we offer
  • The opportunity to shape the payment experience across seven major retail brands reaching millions of customers across the GCC.
  • A high‑impact, execution‑focused role with direct ownership of the payments backlog.
  • A collaborative product team working on a modern, evolving e‑commerce platform.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with the UAE market.
