Job summary

SALT in Dubai is seeking an experienced UX/UI Product Designer to lead the UX/UI design across AI-enabled banking products. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering and AI teams to turn complex ideas into intuitive experiences, owning the design process from discovery to production-ready designs.

Qualifications

• UX/UI designer with strong commercial experience.

Product Designer - UX/UI - AI - Banking

9-month initial contract - with extensions

Dubai

We are looking for an experienced UX/UI Product Designer to join a major digital banking programme in Dubai, focused on designing innovative AI-powered products and customer experiences.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, banking and digital product design, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering and AI teams to turn complex ideas into simple, intuitive and engaging experiences.

You will take ownership of the UX/UI design process across AI-enabled banking products, from initial discovery and user journeys through to prototypes and production-ready designs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design intuitive end-to-end user journeys for AI-powered digital banking products.
• Translate complex banking and AI use cases into simple, customer-focused experiences.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Engineers and AI teams from discovery through delivery.
• Conduct user research and incorporate feedback and insights into product designs.
• Build and maintain reusable components and contribute to design systems.
• Ensure consistency, accessibility and usability across digital experiences.
• Support design validation, testing and continuous product improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience as a UX/UI Designer or Product Designer.
• Proven experience designing digital products, ideally within banking, fintech or financial services.
• Experience working on AI-enabled products, conversational AI, GenAI or intelligent digital experiences is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design and customer journey design.
• Advanced Figma skills, including prototyping and component/design-system work.
• Experience working within Agile, cross-functional product teams.
• Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work.

This is an initial 9-month contract with strong potential for extension, working on-site in Dubai.
