Job summary

Archirodon in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a seasoned Procurement Officer to support large-scale EPC projects on site. You will coordinate with project teams, manage supplier onboarding, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

The role requires five years in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and ERP proficiency. You will optimize costs, monitor supplier performance, and ensure contract compliance across on-site procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in a procurement role.
• Experience in the construction sector is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement contracts and negotiations.
• Excellent communication and vendor relationship skills.
• Fluency in English is required.

Job Description

What you will need to do:

• Deal with the procurement needs of the organization placed by the Department via ERP
• Work with other Departments to forecast demand - evaluate inventory levels
• Negotiate directly with vendors to get the best possible commercial terms.
• The right Senior Procurement Officer will initiate RFQ’s, compare offers, award, and administer/expedite project supply, services, and subcontracts to suppliers-subcontractors and service providers
• Use cost management to identify areas of potential cost reduction and analyze the impact of pricing changes for goods -subcontracts and services
• Build relationships with vendors and manage their performance
• Conduct routine vendor business reviews, evaluating vendor performance and compliance

Qualifications

• Supply Chain, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical discipline), or Finance studies
• At least five (5) years of working experience in a similar position
• Experience in the Construction sector is necessary
• Understanding and professional experience with Procurement contracts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Excellent negotiation and consulting skills
• Local market knowledge and experience in procurement direct/indirect material & services and sub-contracts.
• Fluency in English

What it is nice to have:

• Previous experience in construction industry in buildings projects or renewable energy projects
• International procurement experience or market knowledge
• Experience in the Oil & Gas field
