Job summary

ALEC Technologies is seeking a proactive Procurement Officer to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for technology and engineering projects across the UAE. You will source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, analyse quotations for best value, and negotiate terms to support on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires a degree in a related field and 3–5 years of procurement experience in construction/ICT sectors, with ERP and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Admin, Engineering).
• 3–5 years procurement experience, preferably in construction, MEP, ELV, ICT or technology sectors.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience sourcing technical materials and equipment for engineering/construction projects.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers in line with company standards.
• Obtain and analyse quotations to achieve best value while meeting requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and monitor progress through to delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering, project, and warehouse teams for timely material availability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery, quality, or commercial issues.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, budgets, and contracts.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain efficiencies.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
