Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Procurement Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead end-to-end procurement, contracts, logistics, customs clearance, and material management to support operations and plant maintenance. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will develop procurement strategies, drive supplier performance, oversee negotiations, and ensure governance compliance across spend categories.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in a related field with 7–10 years of experience and ERP exposure (SAP/Oracle);

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• 7–10 years of procurement, contracts, logistics, and SCM experience expected.
• Experience in Power Generation, Utilities, Energy, Oil & Gas, or Industrial sectors preferred.

Job Summary

The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Company's end-to-end procurement, contracts, logistics, customs clearance, and material management activities. The role ensures the cost-effective, timely, and compliant acquisition of goods, services, infrastructure, and consultancy services required to support business operations and plant maintenance activities.

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Procurement Manager develops and implements procurement strategies, drives supplier performance, manages commercial negotiations, oversees contract administration, and ensures compliance with company policies and governance requirements. The role also has overall responsibility for inventory and material control at site while building strong supplier partnerships that support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Governance

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve procurement policies, procedures, systems, and strategies in line with business objectives.
• Establish annual procurement goals, KPIs, savings targets, and performance metrics.
• Drive compliance with procurement governance, policies, delegation of authority, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor market trends, supplier developments, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for cost optimization and value creation.
• Provide procurement advice and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.

Category Management & Strategic Sourcing

• Develop and execute category management strategies for key spend areas.
• Lead sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and supplier selection processes for goods, services, infrastructure, and consultancy contracts.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality, reliability, and operational requirements.
• Assess procurement options and recommend sourcing strategies aligned with business needs.

Contract Management

• Manage the preparation, negotiation, award, and administration of procurement contracts.
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Oversee contracts for plant maintenance, operational services, infrastructure projects, and consultancy engagements.
• Ensure all contracts comply with legal, environmental, safety, and company requirements.
• Review and endorse purchase orders, contract awards, and payment requests in accordance with approved authority limits.

Supplier Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews, meetings, audits, and qualification assessments.
• Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
• Support supplier development programs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Logistics, Customs & Management

• Oversee logistics operations, customs clearance activities, and expediting processes to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Ensure effective inventory control and material management across plant and site operations.
• Monitor stock levels and critical spare parts availability to support uninterrupted operations.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast material requirements and optimize inventory levels.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7-10 years of procurement, contracts, logistics, and supply chain management experience.
• Experience within Power Generation, Utilities, Energy, Oil & Gas, or Industrial sectors is highly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent procurement platforms.
• Professional procurement certification such as CIPS or CPSM is preferred.
