Job summary

Apex Gulf Trading LLC in Dubai seeks a Procurement Executive – Global Sourcing to drive direct-manufacturer sourcing, bypass intermediaries, and optimize costs for industrial commodities.

You will lead end-to-end global sourcing, evaluate manufacturers, run RFQ/RFP, negotiate terms, and apply should-costing techniques to improve gross trading margins, coordinating with sales and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 2–5 years of proven procurement/global sourcing experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors.
• Experience with vendor development, supplier contracts, and negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic global sourcing across industrial, mechanical, and building materials commodities.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard direct international manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers.
• Execute RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluations, and Total Landed Cost calculations (freight, duties, logistics).
• Conduct price negotiations, payment terms structuring, and vendor contract management.
• Apply cost engineering principles (Should-Costing / Value Engineering) to improve margins.
• Coordinate with internal sales and project teams to ensure prompt quote turnaround and on-time delivery.

About the Role

Apex Gulf Trading LLC is looking for an analytical, commercially driven Procurement Executive with a strong background in Global Sourcing to join our trading floor in Dubai. This role is dedicated to bypassing intermediaries, identifying direct manufacturers globally (India, China, and international markets), and driving strategic cost optimization across technical and industrial commodities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic global sourcing across industrial, mechanical, and building material commodities.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard direct international manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers.
• Execute RFQ/RFP processes, commercial bid evaluations, and Total Landed Cost (TLC) calculations (freight, duties, and logistics).
• Conduct price negotiations, payment terms structuring, and vendor contract management.
• Apply cost engineering principles (Should-Costing / Zero-Based Costing / Value Engineering) to improve gross trading margins.
• Coordinate with internal sales and project teams to ensure prompt quote turnaround and on-time delivery schedules.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience in procurement, vendor development, or global sourcing within industrial, manufacturing, or engineering sectors.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen in managing supplier contracts.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP MM, Odoo, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
• Relocation: Open to relocating to the UAE / currently planning migration to Dubai. Immediate availability on a visit visa or transferable status is an advantage.
