Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Process Lead to provide technical leadership and engineering support across major LNG and energy infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will guide process engineering activities during FEED and EPC phases of large-scale capital programs.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, oversee design assurance, safety reviews, and commissioning readiness, and mentor engineering staff to ensure technical quality and project objectives are met.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in oil & gas, LNG, energy, or process industries.
• Experience with owner/operator, engineering consultancy, EPC, or EPCM organisations.
• Proven involvement in major capital projects through FEED and EPC execution phases.
• Experience working on LNG, gas processing, or related energy infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist process engineering support to major LNG and energy projects.

• Contribute to process optimisation, equipment selection, detailed engineering, and design development.

• Assist with capturing lessons learned and developing technical knowledge repositories for future projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering process engineering activities during the FEED and EPC phases of large-scale capital projects.

This position will support project teams by providing specialist process engineering expertise, guidance on technology selection, optimisation, safety, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist process engineering support to major LNG and energy projects.
• Support the evaluation, comparison and selection of process technologies and development concepts.
• Contribute to process optimisation, equipment selection, detailed engineering, and design development.
• Participate in design assurance activities, HAZOPs, HAZIDs, and other process safety reviews.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities.
• Provide technical guidance on process and utility systems across the full project lifecycle.
• Assist with capturing lessons learned and developing technical knowledge repositories for future projects.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure technical quality and project objectives are achieved.
• Interface with engineering contractors, technology providers, and external stakeholders as required

Experience Required

• 14+ years of experience within the oil & gas, LNG, energy, or process industries.
• Experience gained with an owner/operator, engineering consultancy, EPC, or EPCM organisation.
• Proven involvement in major capital projects through FEED and EPC execution phases.
• Experience working on LNG, gas processing, or related energy infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of LNG process technologies and associated facilities.
• Expertise in process and utility system design and operation.
• Advanced process simulation and modelling capability.
• Experience in process control, commissioning, and operational support.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical and operational challenges.
• Experience leading or facilitating HAZOPs, HAZIDs, PHAs, and other process safety studies.
• Understanding of upstream, midstream, or broader energy sector processes.
• Familiarity with project development and project management methodologies.
• Good knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent professional accreditation.
