Job summary

Reach Security is seeking a senior network security expert to act as the go-to SME for the support team, review firewall rule-sets, and provide prioritized recommendations for complex customer deployments. You will diagnose deep engineering issues using captures, logs, and flow data to identify root causes and guide remediation.

Collaborate with Sales Engineering to help defend network findings to customers, work with Engineering and QA to report defects and verify fixes, and author internal

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on enterprise network security experience.
• Platform-level firewall expertise across Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point, or Juniper.
• Strong TCP/IP, packet analysis, and network troubleshooting skills.

• Partner with Engineering and QA to report defects, validate fixes, and drive root-cause analysis.
• Author and maintain internal runbooks and audit playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the network subject-matter expert for the support team, reviewing firewall rule-bases and network policies to provide prioritized recommendations
• Troubleshoot integrations between Reach and third-party network-security products such as NGFW, IDS/IPS/NDR, and SASE/ZTNA
• Diagnose deep engineering-level customer issues using packet captures, flow data, and device logs to find root causes
• Enable the Sales Engineering team by teaching them to interpret and defend network findings to customers
• Partner with Engineering and QA to report defects, validate fixes, and drive root-cause analysis
• Author and maintain internal runbooks and audit playbooks

Requirements

• 6+ years of deep, hands-on experience with enterprise network security, including firewalls and traffic analysis
• Platform-level expertise with enterprise firewall ecosystems (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point, or Juniper)
• Strong command of TCP/IP, network protocol internals, and the ability to reason from packet captures
• Depth in network segmentation, NAT, routing (BGP/OSPF), VPN, and TLS/SSL inspection
• Experience with cloud network security constructs in AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Working knowledge of Linux system administration

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as PCNSE, NSE, CCNP/CCIE Security, or CISSP
• Experience with WAF, load balancers, and application-layer security
• Familiarity with SIEM or SOAR platforms
• Scripting skills in Python or experience with platform APIs
