Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to join the fast-growing server department. You will work with external clients and design teams to drive development of storage server products and lead aggressive go-to-market planning.

You will participate in developing product roadmaps and positioning in the market for maximum visibility. The role requires deep DCIM experience, strong architectural skills, and leadership across cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in Solution Architecting, Product Management, and DCIM software.
• Strong programming skills and RESTful APIs.
• Deep understanding of data center operations: power, cooling, rack management, environmental monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop comprehensive use cases for rack management, power, and cooling within software products.
• Lead and influence software design decisions to optimize datacenter space, power, and cooling efficiency.
• Analyze customer environments to create architectural designs and identify gaps.
• Drive technical solutions addressing customer needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate with product, production, sales, and field teams to ensure alignment.
• Serve as a customer advocate driving product improvements from feedback.
• Develop reference materials like user docs, troubleshooting guides, and runbooks.
• Improve internal processes to increase efficiency for customers and product teams.
• Build credibility and relationships with customers for successful adoption.

Job Summary

Supermico is seeking for a Principal Solution Architect to be part of our fast-growing server department. This individual will work with external clients and feedback to design team to drive the development and improvement of storage server products. Additionally, the candidate will take the lead in create aggressive go-to market plan, and develop product road map, strategically place the in-house server products in the market to ensure maximum visibility.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Architect and develop comprehensive use cases for rack management, power, and cooling within software products.
• Lead and influence software design decisions to optimize datacenter space, power, and cooling efficiency.
• Analyze customer environments and requirements to create effective architectural designs and identify gaps.
• Manage and drive technical solutions that address customer needs and align with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, production, sales, and field technical teams—to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
• Serve as a customer advocate, driving product and process improvements based on feedback.
• Develop reference materials such as user documentation, troubleshooting guides, scripts, and runbooks.
• Improve internal processes to increase efficiency for customers and internal product teams.
• Build strong credibility and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure successful adoption of Supermicro solutions.
• Apply strong project management, technical expertise, and communication skills to ensure collaboration across all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in Solution Architecting, Product Management, software development experience on DCIM management systems.
• Strong programming skills and RESTful APIs.
• Deep understanding of data center operations including power distribution, cooling systems, rack management, and environmental monitoring protocols.
• Experience with time-series databases, real-time data processing, and building monitoring dashboards for critical infrastructure.
• Solution Architecting, Product Management, Software Development experience on DCIM management systems.
• Deep understanding of data center operations including power distribution, cooling systems, rack management, and environmental monitoring protocols.
