Job summary

Supermico is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to lead the design and development of DCIM-based server products. The role involves architecting use cases for rack management, power and cooling, and driving aggressive go-to-market plans.

You will collaborate with product and sales teams to deliver robust solutions, develop reference materials, and advocate for customer needs across stakeholders. A strong background in DCIM and data center operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in solution architecture, product management, or software development on DCIM systems.
• Strong programming skills and RESTful APIs.
• Deep understanding of data center operations including power, cooling, rack management and environmental monitoring.
• Experience with time-series databases, real-time data processing, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop comprehensive use cases for rack management, power and cooling within software products.
• Lead and influence software design decisions to optimize DCIM space, power and cooling efficiency.
• Analyze customer environments and requirements to create architectural designs and identify gaps.
• Manage and drive technical solutions addressing customer needs and aligning with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
• Serve as customer advocate driving product and process improvements from feedback.
• Develop reference materials such as user docs, troubleshooting guides, scripts and runbooks.
• Improve internal processes to increase efficiency for customers and product teams.
• Build credibility and maintain relationships to ensure adoption of Supermicro solutions.
• Apply project management and technical expertise to ensure collaboration across stakeholders.
