ESSURA, Dubai-based independent security and resilience consultancy, seeks a Principal Security Design Consultant to lead the technical design of integrated security solutions for Oil & Gas and CNI environments.

You'll take designs from concept through FEED to detailed design, coordinating with EPC contractors and MEP consultants, translating risk assessments into specifications, and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing integrated security solutions for Oil & Gas and/or CNI.
• Experience leading design across concept, FEED and detailed design stages.
• Deep technical expertise across CCTV/video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter security, counter‑UAS, control room design and systems integration.
• Experience producing and reviewing technical specifications, drawings, schedules and design reports.
• Willingness to travel across the region, including in‑country work in Iraq.

Responsibilities

• Personally design integrated security solutions spanning control rooms, perimeter systems, access control, surveillance, intrusion detection and counter‑UAS (C-UAS).
• Take designs from concept through FEED into detailed design, working alongside EPC contractors and MEP consultants.
• Translate threat and risk assessments into system requirements, functional specifications and design criteria.
• Contribute to peer review of colleagues' designs and to ESSURA's technical design standards and templates.
• Mentor consultants and engineers, and contribute technical content to proposals and bids.

ESSURA is an independent security and resilience consultancy protecting the critical infrastructure that keeps the region running — oil and gas production and export facilities, pipelines, ports and maritime terminals, and the power and water systems that support them. Backed by over 25 years of expertise and with offices in Dubai and London, we're growing our Oil & Gas and CNI practice across the GCC and Iraq — and we're looking for a Principal Security Design Consultant to lead the technical design of our security solutions as that practice grows.

This is a hands‑on technical role for a Principal‑level security professional who can personally design integrated security solutions for complex Oil & Gas and CNI environments — taking designs from concept through to detailed design, and bringing together physical security, electronic systems and supporting technology into a single, coherent solution. You'll work alongside our Practice Lead, who leads client relationships and bids, and be measured on the technical quality, coherence and buildability of the designs you produce.

What you'll be doing:

• Personally design integrated security solutions spanning control rooms, perimeter systems, access control, surveillance, intrusion detection and counter‑UAS (C-UAS)
• Take designs from concept through FEED into detailed design, working alongside EPC contractors and MEP consultants
• Translate threat and risk assessments into system requirements, functional specifications and design criteria
• Contribute to peer review of colleagues' designs and to ESSURA's technical design standards and templates
• Mentor consultants and engineers, and contribute technical content to proposals and bids

What we're looking for:

• 10+ years designing integrated security solutions for Oil & Gas and/or CNI clients, as a solution architect
• Demonstrable experience leading design across concept, FEED and detailed design stages
• Deep technical expertise across CCTV/video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter security, counter‑UAS, control room design and systems integration
• Experience producing and reviewing technical specifications, drawings, schedules and design reports
• Comfortable working alongside engineering majors and EPC contractors in complex, high‑risk operating environments
• Willingness to travel across the region, including regular in‑country work in Iraq
