AESG is seeking a Senior Security Consultant to lead security design across large-scale Middle East projects, integrating physical, electronic, and operational security with architectural intent.

Responsible for leading the planning, design, and implementation of comprehensive security solutions across large-scale built environment projects in the Middle East region. The role ensures that physical, electronic, and operational security measures are strategically integrated into developments to protect people, assets, and operations while meeting local regulatory requirements and international best practices.
Working within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, the Senior Security Consultant provides technical leadership across all project stages from pre-concept through to tender documentation, construction support, and commissioning. The role ensures that security-by-design principles are embedded within the overall design process and that all physical and electronic security measures are functional, efficient, and seamlessly integrated into the architectural and engineering intent.
Bachelor's degree in security engineering, security risk management or related field.
5-10 years of experience in security design engineering, or security risk management.
Proven experience delivering large scale built environment projects within the Middle East region.
Familiarity with regional security regulations and authority approval processes (e.g., SIRA, HCIS, MOI).
Strong knowledge of Security Risk Management methodologies, Security by Design principles, and design integration with other disciplines.
Excellent communication, client engagement, and technical report writing skills
The Senior Security Consultant is expected to demonstrate a high level of technical competence, professionalism, and leadership in delivering security design solutions for complex and large-scale developments. The role requires proactive engagement with clients, design partners, and contractors to ensure that security requirements are effectively integrated, coordinated, and delivered to the highest standards.
Security Strategy & Masterplanning.
Develop holistic security strategies for complex developments such as mixed-use communities, transport hubs, critical infrastructure, and public realm projects.
Conduct security risk assessments aligned with regional and international standards.
Advise clients and design teams on security-by-design principles from concept through to operation.
Technical Security Design & Engineering
Prepare concept, schematic, and detailed security system designs including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter protection, security lighting, and integrated command and control solutions.
Develop technical specifications, drawings, and design documentation in coordination with multidisciplinary design teams (architecture, MEP, ICT, landscape).
Ensure designs align with relevant codes, standards, and local authority requirements (e.g., SIRA, MOI, ADMCC, HCIS).
Physical Security Design & Engineering
Prepare concept, schematic, and detailed physical security designs including perimeter protection, walls, doors, gates, turnstiles, and vehicle security barriers.
Prepare specifications, drawings, and documentation, ensuring coordination with architectural and engineering disciplines.
Ensure that structural and architectural security measures are integrated without compromising design intent or operational efficiency.
