Job summary

Smart Vision School in Dubai is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join on a fixed-term maternity cover from 19 October 2026 to 26 February 2027. The successful applicant will deliver the National Curriculum for England in a supportive, inclusive class and ensure continuity of learning.

You will lead engaging lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with year group colleagues, teaching assistants and the Primary leadership team.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE with QTS or equivalent.
• A relevant Bachelor's degree.
• Experience teaching within the British curriculum, preferably in a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and effective primary teaching approaches.
• Experience supporting students with SEND and EAL needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
• Maintain high expectations for student achievement, behaviour, presentation and engagement.
• Ensure continuity of curriculum delivery, assessment and student progress throughout the maternity cover period.
• Use assessment effectively to identify strengths, address gaps in learning and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued and motivated to learn.
• Develop strong relationships with students and maintain effective communication with parents.
• Work collaboratively with year group colleagues, teaching assistants, specialist teachers and the wider Primary leadership team.
• Contribute positively to safeguarding culture and the wider school community.
