Job summary

Pearl British Academy, part of Aldar Academies in the UAE, is seeking outstanding Primary Teachers for maternity-cover positions. Candidates should be confident delivering the English National Curriculum and raising standards to secure progress for all pupils.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 1–2 years’ experience delivering the English National Curriculum.
• Commitment to the school’s vision, values and pupil potential.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning in line with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
• Create a climate for learning that supports outstanding practice and maintain pace, challenge and engagement.
• Differentiate for SEN, EAL and G&T pupils with clear objectives and targets.
• Use assessment for learning and data to inform planning and improve outcomes.
• Maintain discipline per policy and encourage punctuality, behaviour and homework.
• Mark work at least every two weeks, set progress targets and keep records.
• Prepare and present reports to parents and attend events.
• Contribute to curriculum development by updating schemes of work.
