Job summary

Smart Vision School in Dubai seeks a dedicated Primary Teacher for a fixed-term maternity cover (19 Oct 2026–26 Feb 2027). You will deliver the English National Curriculum to the Primary section, sustain high expectations, and foster strong relationships with students, parents and staff.

The role requires a qualified teacher with experience in the British curriculum and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality learning in a busy international school setting.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE with QTS or equivalent.
• A relevant Bachelor's degree.
• Experience teaching within the British curriculum, preferably in a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and effective primary teaching approaches.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons and secure strong student progress.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to establish positive relationships quickly.
• Experience supporting students with SEND and EAL needs.
• Availability to commence employment on 19th October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
• Maintain high expectations for student achievement, behaviour, presentation and engagement.
• Ensure continuity of curriculum delivery, assessment and student progress during the maternity cover period.
• Use assessment to identify strengths, gaps and adapt teaching to meet needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe and valued.
• Collaborate with year group colleagues, teaching assistants and specialist teachers.
• Lead pedagogical meetings and contribute to school life beyond teaching.
