Key duties include managing pricing strategy, tender processes, carrier negotiations and capacity planning, while leading a team of pricing analysts to improve quote turnaround and system accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in logistics pricing, procurement, or commercial management.
• Analytical expertise: Advanced data analysis and financial modelling.
• Negotiation: Proven track record with global carriers and vendors.
• Software proficiency: MS Excel (Vlookup, Pivot, Macros) and ERP systems (Ipack, CargoWise).
• Leadership: Able to mentor a team and handle high-pressure deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Pricing strategy: Develop data-driven pricing models aligned with growth objectives and market trends.
• Profitability analysis: Monitor gross margins and implement price-to-win strategies while meeting internal benchmarks.
• Tender management: Oversee RFQ processes for key accounts with timely submissions.
• Agent & carrier negotiation: Build relationships to secure preferential buying rates.
• Capacity planning: Forecast volumes to negotiate long-term contracts and blocked space agreements.
• Team leadership: Supervise pricing coordinators and analysts, guiding quotations and dispute resolution.
• Process improvement: Streamline workflow between pricing, sales and operations to reduce quote turnaround time.
• System integrity: Ensure rate databases in Ipack, CargoWise or ERP systems are accurate.
• Market intelligence: Monitor GRI, surcharges and fuel variances to advise sales and management.
• Competitor analysis: Benchmark rates against competitors to identify gaps.
