Job summary

CARBON ENGG in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled machinist with proven experience operating manual and CNC lathes to manufacture high-quality metal components from complex blueprints. The role requires reading GD&T, selecting tooling, speeds, and feeds, and performing in-process inspections for dimensional accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent with vocational machining training and 3–5 years of hands-on lathe experience. NIMS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational machining training preferred.
• NIMS certification advantageous.
• 3-5 years hands-on experience operating manual and CNC lathes in manufacturing.
• Ability to read complex drawings, blueprints and GD&T symbols.

Responsibilities

• Precisely set up and operate manual and CNC lathes to produce metal components according to blueprints and specifications.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and GD&T to ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Select tooling, speeds, and feeds to achieve desired material removal rates and surface finishes on various metals.
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.
