Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Lathe Operator in Abu Dhabi to operate lathe and milling machines, performing turning, boring, threading and facing operations. Candidates should be familiar with general lathe and milling operations and possess mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, monitoring machine performance, and coordinating with team to meet production demands. Basic ITI or equivalent training and hands-on lathe experience are required.

Qualifications

• ITI in metal machining or Lathe operation training.
• 3 years of hands-on experience in lathe operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong math and calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining safety standards by following OSHA rules and regulations.
• Operating Manual Lathes & Milling machines to produce parts for production demand.
• Monitoring machine performance to ensure proper operation.
• Following safety procedures and protocols to minimize hazards.
• Communicating with other workers to coordinate workflow.
• Installing new parts and other components in machinery where needed.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery running smoothly.
