Job summary

RAQ Contracting Company LLC is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Pre-Contract to join our Estimation Department in Dubai.

The ideal candidate will review tender documents, prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs, and coordinate with subcontractors to obtain quotations within tender deadlines. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying and 5–7 years UAE experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Estimation Department of a main contracting company.
• Proficiency in PlanSwift and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tenders simultaneously, and meet tight submission deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and scope of work.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and detailed BOQs based on tender drawings and specifications.
• Use PlanSwift for quantity measurement and verification.
• Prepare enquiry packages for subcontractors and suppliers including relevant drawings, specifications and scope of work.
• Send enquiries and follow up with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations within tender deadlines.
• Review subcontractor quotations for scope completeness and technical compliance with tender requirements.
• Identify discrepancies, missing information and quantity variations in tender documents and coordinate necessary clarifications.
• Coordinate with estimators, technical and procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of tender requirements.
