Job summary

Dutco Interiors is seeking an Experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction activities from tender through mobilization, ensuring projects are technically sound, commercially viable and buildable. You will review documents, develop programmes, and coordinate with estimating, procurement, design, and operations.

The role requires 8-10 years in construction, with 5+ years in management, UAE experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in the construction industry, including at least 5 years in a management or preconstruction role.
• Proven project and construction management experience is preferred.
• Experience with UAE Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors, design-and-build or large interior fit-out contractors is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project planning, procurement, commercial management, and UAE authority requirements.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and construction management software.
• Strong leadership, technical coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in both main contracting and specialist interior fit-out on complex, fast-track projects in the UAE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction planning, construction methodologies, sequencing, and logistics strategies.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify risks, design gaps and buildability concerns.
• Develop preliminary construction programmes, WBS, phasing strategies and resource plans.
• Coordinate with estimating, commercial, procurement, design, and operations teams during tender preparation.
• Conduct constructability reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments.
• Assess subcontractor capabilities, procurement lead times, and construction constraints.
• Support tender presentations, technical submissions, and project handover to operations.
• Represent and present technical methodologies to divisional managers, operations manager, Chief Delivery Officer, and client and other project stakeholders.
• Work independently and well under pressure.

• UAE experience is preferred but not a must.
• Experience working for established UAE Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors, design-and build contractors, or large specialist interior fit-out contractors is advantageous.
• Proven experience delivering complex, high-value projects, including commercial, hospitality, residential, mixed-use and refurbishment developments.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project planning, procurement, commercial management, and UAE authority requirements.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and construction management software.
• Strong leadership, technical coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Candidates with experience in both main contracting and specialist interior fit-out, particularly on technically complex, fast-track projects in the UAE is preferred.
