Job summary

ALFIRAS General Contracting in the UAE seeks an experienced Construction Manager – Civil to oversee high-rise and hotel construction projects. You will lead multidisciplinary site teams, coordinate with consultants and subcontractors, and ensure delivery in accordance with specifications, quality standards, budgets, and schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree and 10–15 years of UAE experience, with a proven track record in mobilization, site supervision, QA/QC, and HSE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10-15 years of overall construction experience in UAE.
• Proven experience managing high-rise building and hotel projects.
• Strong background in managing large-scale construction activities from mobilization through completion and handover.
• Demonstrated experience leading site teams, subcontractors, and multiple construction activities simultaneously.
• Strong technical knowledge of structural, civil, architectural, and finishing works.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, project planning, quality control, and HSE requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documentation.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager – Civil to oversee and manage construction operations for high-rise building and/or hotel construction projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in managing large-scale building construction projects, leading multidisciplinary site teams, coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with approved specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, budgets, and agreed project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all construction activities across assigned projects, ensuring execution is aligned with approved project schedules, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Lead and manage project site teams, including Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction activities, ensuring timely execution and achievement of project milestones.
• Manage construction works related to structural, architectural, civil, and finishing activities, particularly in high-rise and hotel developments.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and monitor construction drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays and construction challenges, and implement corrective measures to maintain project timelines.
• Ensure effective management and allocation of manpower, materials, equipment, and other project resources.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality requirements, and project schedules.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved quality standards, project specifications, and UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure implementation of quality assurance and health and safety requirements.
• Review project progress reports, identify operational issues, and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Proactively identify construction risks and resolve technical and operational challenges affecting project delivery.
• Ensure effective coordination between civil, architectural, MEP, and other project disciplines.
• Drive project completion, testing, inspections, snagging, and handover activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10–15 years of overall construction experience, preferably within established UAE construction and contracting companies.
• Proven experience managing high-rise building and/or hotel construction projects.
• Strong background in managing large-scale building construction activities from mobilization through completion and handover.
