Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an Assistant Technician – Power Distribution to support maintenance of medium and low voltage emergency power systems across our facilities. The role covers preventive, corrective, and breakdown tasks to ensure safe, reliable operations with minimal service disruption.

The candidate should have an ITI Diploma in Electrical Maintenance or equivalent and at least 3 years’ experience in MV/LV power distribution, with strong knowledge of safety procedures (LOTO) and the ability to

Qualifications

• ITI Diploma (Electrical Maintenance or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in MV/LV power distribution systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance practices and safety procedures (LOTO, isolations)
• Ability to read electrical drawings and use test equipment

Responsibilities

• Maintain MV/LV systems including transformers, switchgear, RMUs, distribution boards, UPS, and cable networks
• Perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Carry out planned preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance
• Use electrical test equipment (multimeter, insulation tester, earth loop tester, etc.)
• Interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Complete CMMS work orders, reports, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a Zero Harm culture
