Key Responsibilities
- Maintain resort swimming pools, water fountains, pump rooms, and related pool equipment in safe and reliable operating condition.
- Carry out daily pool water testing, check balance parameters, and record results accurately in operational log sheets.
- Add chemicals as instructed by the Pool Supervisor while following safe handling procedures and hotel safety standards.
- Support preventive maintenance for pool pumps, filters, valves, electrical components, interior pool lights, and water feature systems.
- Perform minor electrical maintenance related to swimming pool pump stations and lighting where required.
- Monitor swimming pool equipment performance and report faults, unusual readings, leaks, or repair needs to the Pool Supervisor.
- Keep pump stations, chemical storage areas, workspaces, and pool maintenance zones clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all precautions when handling chemical products, tools, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure recommended health, hygiene, and water quality conditions are maintained for swimming pools at all times.
- Lead and guide Pool Attendants during daily maintenance activities to support efficient site operations.
- Maintain good working relationships with the pool team, hotel engineering staff, and operations colleagues.
- Respond professionally to operational requests and off‑hour guest demands related to pool maintenance.
- Support environmental safety by using chemicals responsibly and maintaining equipment to reduce waste and service disruption.
Ideal Profile
- Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar pool technician, resort maintenance, hotel engineering, or facilities maintenance role.
- Practical knowledge of swimming pool systems, water treatment, filtration equipment, pump stations, and basic electrical maintenance.
- Ability to test and record pool water balance parameters accurately.
- Good command of English for workplace communication, reporting, and coordination.
- Strong awareness of health, hygiene, chemical safety, workplace safety, and environmental safety standards.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with supervisors, Pool Attendants, and hotel engineering teams.
- Luxury hotel or resort experience is an added advantage.
