Job summary

Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort By Anantara is seeking a Pool Attendant to maintain the resort's pools and water features to the highest standards. You will follow preventive maintenance, manage pool chemistry, and assist the pool team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a similar role in a luxury hotel, are fluent in English, and can work well under pressure as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Previous experience in same position for at least 1 year.
• Luxury hotel experience is a must.
• Passion for excellent service.
• Excellent team player and great communication skills.
• Good command in English.
• Being a team player and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the resort swimming pool and water fountain network in optimal condition.
• Ensure preventive maintenance program is applied for related equipment and machineries.
• Add chemicals as instructed by the pool supervisor.
• Analyze pool balance parameters daily and record in logs for pool supervisor.
• Maintain interior and exterior pool lights and pump stations.
• Lead Pool Attendants on site for efficient daily maintenance.
• Attend maintenance requests and repairs for pool-related plant rooms.
• Ensure health, hygiene, and safety standards are met at all times.

• Orientation of Engineering Area
• Maintains the resort swimming pool and water fountain network always at best conditions.
• Ensures the application and the execution of a good preventive maintenance program for related equipment and machineries.
• Add the chemicals as instructed by the pool supervisor.
• Carry out analysis of pool balance parameters daily and record them in the operational log sheets for reference of Pool supervisor.
• Is responsible for the maintenance of swimming pool interior lights.
• Is responsible for minor electrical maintenance of swimming pool pump stations.
• Timely updates the preventive maintenance program to the Pool supervisor.
• Use all necessary precautions regarding the manipulation of chemical products.
• Lead the Pool Attendants on site for an efficient pool maintenance daily basis.
• Ensures recommended health and hygiene conditions of swimming pool at all times.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the work place and pump stations ensures the self and environmental safety. Also ensures safety of Pool Attendants.
• Maintain good work relations with the pool team to cater to the off hours guest demands.
• Will perform all other duties as directed from time to time by the Pool supervisor.
• Attend for all the maintenance work related to the pools & water features.
• Attend maintenance request, maintenance calls and repairs related to all types of maintenance works in the plant rooms.
• Attend to any faults, and breakdowns of any equipment or a plant room.
• Maintain all under water lights and outdoor lights in the pools & water features.
• Records all parts used during repair and inform to Maintenance officer to order parts.
• Checks maintain fire detecting system carries out periodical test and ensure the system in good working condition
