Job summary

Al Sahraa Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Police Dog Trainer to train, handle and maintain working dogs for security and law enforcement duties.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in obedience, patrol and detection training, strong canine behavior knowledge, and a commitment to welfare and safety in demanding field deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Police Dog Trainer or similar role.
• Experience in patrol, detection, tracking and obedience training.
• Strong knowledge of canine health, welfare and behavior.
• Ability to assess and improve dog performance for operational tasks.
• Experience with security, military or law enforcement K9 units preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop police/security dogs for operational duties.
• Conduct obedience, tracking, patrol and detection training programs.
• Monitor dog health, behavior and performance.
• Maintain training records and performance reports.
• Ensure proper care, handling and welfare of all dogs.
• Support deployments and field exercises when required.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience as a Police Dog Trainer K9 Handler or similar role.
• Experience in training dogs for patrol detection tracking and obedience.
• Strong knowledge of canine behavior health and welfare.
• Ability to assess and improve dog performance for operational tasks.
• Experience working with security military or law enforcement K9 units is preferred.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors.
• Valid driving license is an advantage.
