YOSH in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced dog trainer to design and implement structured training programs for dogs of diverse breeds in private hospitality settings. You will tailor approaches to each dog's temperament and track progress with accurate records using humane, evidence-based methods.
Responsibilities include addressing behavioral issues, ensuring physical exercise, socialization, feeding coordination, grooming basics, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Design and implement structured training programs tailored to each dogs breed temperament and behavioral needs.
Address and modify behavioral issues such as aggression anxiety and disobedience using humane evidence-based positive reinforcement techniques.
Monitor and evaluate each dogs progress maintaining accurate training records and adjusting programs as needed.
Ensure dogs receive appropriate physical exercise mental stimulation and socialization as part of their training regimen.
Observe overall health and behavior promptly reporting concerns and supporting veterinary care when required.
Coordinate and support feeding routines including managing specialized dietary requirements where applicable.
Oversee basic grooming practices (bathing brushing nail trimming) to ensure dogs are clean comfortable and well-maintained.
Maintain a safe clean and hygienic environment across kennels and training areas.
Ensure optimal environmental conditions including temperature control ventilation and safety standards.
Monitor training equipment and supplies reporting replenishment needs in a timely manner.
Provide regular updates to supervisors or dog owners regarding training progress behavior and overall wellbeing.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager
Dog training certification / qualifications
Veterinary knowledge or qualifications (preferred)
Experience in private hospitality / working with private families
Experience in behavioral training
