Job summary

Wood in the United Arab Emirates seeks Emirati Graduate Engineers to work on diverse projects with ADNOC, developing essential project management and engineering skills. The role emphasizes safety, collaboration, and hands-on learning within a dynamic EPC/EPCM environment.

You will assist in coordinating activities, track milestones, prepare documentation, and liaise with mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering in related discipline.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or training preferred).
• Understanding of EPC/EPCM project lifecycle and principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Primavera or MS Project is an advantage.

Responsibilities

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for Emirati Graduate Engineers. The role offers an excellent chance to work with ADNOC on diverse and challenging projects while developing your skills and gaining valuable industry experience.

Key Objectives

The Graduate Project Engineer will develop practical project management and engineering skills while contributing to safe, efficient and high‑quality project outcomes. The key objectives for this role are:

• Assist in the coordination and execution of engineering and project activities in line with project schedules and objectives.
• Support project engineers and managers in tracking progress, deliverables, and key milestones.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, meeting minutes, and technical submissions.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary engineering teams (e.g., mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure alignment of project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project meetings.
• Assist in monitoring project costs, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Support procurement, vendor coordination, and expediting activities where required.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant industry standards.
• Contribute to risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution.
• Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times.
• Engage in continuous learning and development to build technical and project management competencies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline).
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or training experience preferred).
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycle in an EPC/EPCM environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is an advantage.
