JAMS HR Solutions in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai, seeks a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to manage daily preventive and predictive maintenance for a heavy manufacturing plant. The role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime while ensuring a safe working environment under HSE policies.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety, coordinating shutdowns, supervising maintenance teams, and drafting scopes for external repairs.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a maintenance engineer or supervisor.
• English proficiency is mandatory; Arabic or Hindi is a strong advantage.
• Solid experience in heavy manufacturing (Ready-Mix concrete preferred).
• Strong background in industrial refrigeration and control/instrumentation systems.
• Proven experience with CMMS/ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Solid grounding in preventive/predictive maintenance and Lean Manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise preventive, predictive, and periodic maintenance plans and schedules.
• Lead troubleshooting during breakdowns to identify root causes and rapid solutions.
• Coordinate on-site activities during shutdowns, equipment replacements, and upgrades.
• Monitor spare parts inventory to maximize uptime.
• Prepare technical requisitions for purchases and materials.
• Control and track usage and calibration of tools and equipment.
• Assign and manage manpower across shifts to balance maintenance and production.
• Draft scope of work for external repairs and service contractors.
• Supervise contractor performance and perform acceptance testing upon completion.

Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Plant Maintenance Supervisor will manage and oversee the daily preventive and predictive maintenance schedules of the plant. The core objective is to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime while ensuring a safe working environment in strict compliance with corporate HSE policies and procedures.

Areas of Responsibility

• Enforce daily safety protocols to ensure all maintenance personnel and machines operate securely.
• Align all floor-level maintenance activities, policies, and procedures with standard corporate HSE regulations.
• Supervise the execution of preventive, predictive, and periodic maintenance plans and schedules.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts during technical breakdowns to identify root causes and implement rapid solutions.
• Coordinate on-site activities during plant shutdowns, major equipment replacements, and engineering upgrade projects.
• Monitor critical spare parts inventory in the warehouse to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
• Prepare technical requisitions for purchases, tools, and specialized maintenance materials.
• Control and track the usage, storage, and calibration of maintenance tools and workshop equipment.
• Assign and manage manpower across shifts to balance daily maintenance needs with production targets.
• Draft the scope of work for external repairs and specialized service contractors.
• Supervise contractor performance and conduct formal acceptance testing upon work completion.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of working experience as a maintenance engineer or supervisor.
• Language Skills: English proficiency is mandatory. Fluency in Arabic or Hindi is a strong advantage.
• Sector Background: Solid experience in the heavy manufacturing industry (Ready-Mix concrete environment preferred).
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in industrial refrigeration (e.g., ice plants, chillers) and control/instrumentation systems.
• Software & Systems: Proven experience utilizing a CMMS / ERP system (SAP preferred).
• Methodologies: Solid grounding in preventive/predictive maintenance and Lean Manufacturing principles.
