Job summary

Mantras2success Consultants in Dubai is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to manage project scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control for construction projects.

You will coordinate with PMs, architects, and engineers, conduct site visits, and track performance against plans, delivering timely updates and recommendations to keep projects on schedule and within budget. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, resource planning, and cost monitoring.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with site and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules covering tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
• Prepare execution plans in coordination with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to identify risks, constraints, and opportunities.
• Track project progress against approved schedules and identify critical activities and delays.
• Prepare and circulate weekly and monthly progress reports, including corrective and mitigation measures.
• Support project meetings by providing accurate schedule updates and recommendations.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify actual progress and compliance with approved drawings and plans.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and external parties to ensure timely availability of manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Identify discrepancies between planned and actual progress and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform resource planning and optimization for manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Monitor project costs by tracking expenditures against budgets.
• Identify opportunities for cost control and efficiency improvement.
• Collaborate with project teams to improve planning, reporting, and execution processes.
• Support implementation of best practices to enhance project efficiency and delivery effectiveness.
