Job summary

ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION & RECONSTRUCTION CO. LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Planning Engineer to lead project scheduling, baseline development, and progress tracking to ensure contractual compliance and timely delivery.

You will develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, monitor progress, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and coordinate with project teams, procurement, and consultants to keep activities on track.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Develop baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), project milestones, and recovery plans.
• Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against the approved baseline schedule.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, and executive summaries.
• Identify schedule delays, analyze their impact, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure project activities are executed as planned.
• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contracts to develop realistic project schedules.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules for 2‑week, 4‑week, and monthly plans.
• Conduct critical path analysis and monitor project float.
• Assist in resource planning, including manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
• Support claims preparation related to Extension of Time (EOT), delay analysis, and productivity assessments.
• Monitor procurement and material delivery schedules to ensure timely project execution.
• Participate in project meetings and provide planning updates to management and clients.
• Maintain project planning records and ensure compliance with company procedures and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with the commercial and project control teams for cost and schedule integration.
