Job summary

Sobha Constructions Llc in Dubai seeks an experienced Planning Engineer to lead project scheduling and progress control on major construction programs. You will develop detailed CPM schedules, resource loading, and recovery plans using Primavera P6, while coordinating with project teams to keep milestones on track.

You will monitor progress, perform delay analyses, prepare comprehensive progress reports and dashboards, and assist with EOT claims.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Strong ability to monitor progress and identify delays.
• Experience in delay analysis and EOT support.
• Excellent reporting, dashboard and presentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate with PMs, site engineers, procurement, and QS teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Develop baseline programs, manpower histograms, resource loading, and recovery plans.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays.
• Update project plans regularly based on site progress and actual performance.
• Conduct delay analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, and QS teams to align with timelines.
• Track procurement, material deliveries, shop drawings, and approvals against planned schedules.
• Analyze critical paths and highlight risks impacting project completion.
• Prepare look-ahead plans (2-week, 4-week, and monthly schedules).
• Assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims and supporting documentation.
• Attend project review meetings and provide planning updates.
• Ensure compliance with contractual planning requirements.
