Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned Planning & Scheduling professional to develop baselines, monitor progress, and coordinate across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, and Commissioning teams. You will prepare resource-loaded schedules, analyze delays, and support recovery plans for complex projects.

The role requires strong skills in project scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination, with regular reporting to Project Managers and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining project schedules.
• Ability to track progress and identify critical path activities.
• Experience with resource loading and leveling.
• Knowledge of EOT (extension of time) analysis.
• Familiarity with risk registers and mitigation planning.
• Strong coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams.
• Ability to prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Experience presenting schedule status to project managers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop baseline project schedules and detailed planning documents.
• Monitor progress, update schedules, and report deviations against baselines.

• Perform delay analysis and develop recovery plans.

• Project Scheduling & Planning
• Prepare the baseline project schedule using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Develop detailed engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning schedules.
• Establish project milestones and critical path activities.
• Create work breakdown structures (WBS).
• Track actual progress against the approved baseline schedule.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
• Identify schedule delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze critical and near-critical activities.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, and Commissioning teams.
• Collect progress updates from different disciplines.
• Ensure inter-departmental activities are aligned with the project schedule.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Generate S-curves, manpower histograms, and progress dashboards.
• Present schedule status to Project Managers and clients.
• Highlight risks, delays, and mitigation measures.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material requirements.

• Identify resource shortages and optimize resource utilization.
• Perform delay impact analysis.
• Evaluate extension of time (EOT) claims.
