Hire Rightt - Executive Search & HR Advisory seeks a senior Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Specialist for offshore/onshore roles in the UAE. The role focuses on short-term planning, CMMS-driven work prep, and robust project controls across Drilling, Operations, Maintenance, Integrity and Construction.
You will lead an offshore team, coach planners, coordinate shutdowns, optimize schedules, and ensure accurate weekly progress reporting.
Enhance the current short-term planning process, support implementation of project controls and reporting, resource planning, and focus on continuous improvement
Responsible for the CMMS work preparation, scheduling and execution process, including assigning resources, ordering materials, support services, work order close out and reporting.
Supervise, coach and mentor a team of planners and schedulers based Offshore in accordance with Ensure an integrated planning approach is applied to scheduling activities for all departments including Drilling & Well Intervention, Operations, Maintenance, Integrity, and Construction Projects.
Human Resources (HR) policies and performance management procedures.
Accountable for collating, publishing and progress tracking the weekly schedule, considering rescheduled activities, backlog reduction and other priority work.
Support Onshore Planners to develop shutdown worklists and provide site input to level-4 shutdown plans, review critical path activities, task durations and identify potential conflicts to optimize shutdown schedules.
Perform all duties in an independent manner with minimal direction and supervision.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Job-Related Competencies
Educational Qualifications:
Completion of Secondary (10 years) education, Tradesman / Technologist Qualifications or Engineering Degree
Experience Profile:
15-years of experience in Maintenance planning and scheduling including 5 years of experience supervising a team of planners/schedulers within a refinery, oil-field or in a petrochemical facility
5 years’ experience of Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) projects planning and controls in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Coordinated major shutdown / turnaround projects in an offshore production facility or a refinery.
Competencies/Skills/Others:
Strong written and spoken English language skills.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multi-cultural and highly dynamic work environment.
Proficient in Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or other CMMS system. Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project applications.
Significant knowledge of offshore/terminal plant and equipment and maintenance systems.
Computer literate with advanced Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access database skills and proficiency using Microsoft office suite.
