Job summary

Aurko is seeking a Maintenance Planner in Dubai for the planning and execution of turnaround activities on plant assets in the oil & gas sector. The role requires setting up overall schedules, defining milestones, and coordinating with operations, maintenance supervisors, foremen and engineers to ensure timely repairs.

The candidate will develop work packs, manage CMMS, procure materials, and maintain accurate progress reports and statistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years in Plant Maintenance Scheduling and Planning in large organizations.
• 3+ years on-site maintenance experience, petrochemical/oil & gas preferred.
• Proficient in Primavera and MS Project.
• Strong CMMS experience; full life cycle planning of preventive/shutdowns.
• Excellent planning and scheduling capabilities.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.

Responsibilities

• Review released maintenance work orders and material reservations daily.
• Prepare maintenance statistics and reports and track progress.
• Update annual planned maintenance and compliance with policies.

Job description

Need a Maintenance Planner immediately for a reputed Oil and Gas firm based in Dubai for plan shutdown and turnaround activities of plant assets.

Main accountabilities:

• Setting-up the Turnaround Overall Schedule/Bar-chart, Identifying the Major Milestones and Critical Path jobs.
• Responsible to determine job event, job sequence of repairing equipment (Daily, unplanned shutdown, turnaround) and expected close communication with operations, maintenance supervisors, maintenance foreman and engineers.
• Verification of schedule accuracy and completeness.
• Reporting of progress and challenges to schedule.
• Responsible to develop repair schedule, spare part list, manpower, facilities, services as required for repairing equipment.
• Prepare and Finalization of shutdown Work Scope and work pack (P&MID, Isometric, GA drawing, data sheet, blind list, Inspection test plan (ITP), etc.) in co-ordination with other departments.
• Responsible to receive and clarify a work request and develop or issue work orders including close reporting through CMMS system.
• Responsible to develop and issue a purchase requisition of material non-stock category or services maintenance and expected close communication with purchasing group to keep availability or delivery material and services.
• Responsible to develop material list requirement and issue material reservation of spare parts stock category and expected close communication with warehouse foreman to keep availability of spare parts.
• Identifies all materials, tools, equipment, and special preparations required for each job step. Ensures that materials are on-site prior to scheduling the job. Ensures that surplus and excess materials are returned to the proper materials handling personnel for eventual return to the Warehouse
• Daily review of all released maintenance work orders, material reservations, committed materials and ensure bagging & tagging prior to scheduling the work
• Prepare and maintain statistical maintenance and technical reports (including work completion history reports and material status) related to the routine and preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure Annual planned maintenance is updated, tracked and reported on regular basis.
• Knowledgeable with international standards, petroleum / petrochemical plant materials and equipment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned and requested.
• Compliance with the Company Policies, Procedures and Regulations

Educational qualification and skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with specializing in Mechanical stream.

Total Minimum of 10 years of experience, out of which,

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Plant Maintenance Scheduling and Planning within a large industrial organization, preferable in Petrochemical or Oil & gas industry.
• At least 3 years on-site experience in maintenance field, preferably in petrochemical, refinery or chemical plants.

Expertise required:

• Thorough knowledge of Plant Maintenance of equipment in Petrochemical or Oil & gas industry.
• Expertise knowledge of Primavera and Microsoft Project.
• Sound knowledge of CMMS and working knowledge in effective full life cycle planning of Preventive and shutdown planning.
• Expertise in planning and scheduling.
• Ability to operate the company planning software Primavera Enterprise version (P6)
• Knowledge in CMMS (Oracle / SAP / Maximo) Expertise in Word, Excel, Power point and Access.
