Job summary

Wood is seeking a skilled Piping Test Pack Engineer for projects in the United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for executing piping pressure testing activities, ensuring all systems are ready for commissioning and maintaining compliance with project specifications.

Job Objective

• Plan, prepare, and execute piping system pressure testing activities in accordance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
• Ensure all piping systems are mechanically complete, inspected, tested and certified ready for commissioning and handover.
• Support safe and efficient hydrostatic and pneumatic testing while maintaining full compliance with project quality and HSE procedures.
• Coordinate with construction, QA/QC and commissioning teams to achieve timely system completion and turnover on major oil and gas projects such as ADNOC developments.

Expected

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or EPC project environments.
• Proven experience in piping pressure testing, test pack preparation, and system handover activities.
• Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards such as ASME B31.3 and hydrotesting procedures.
• Experience working with QA/QC processes, NDT methods, and inspection requirements.
• Familiarity with completion and turnover systems such as WinPCS, SmartPlant, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Good understanding of HSE requirements related to pressure testing and construction activities.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to interface across multiple disciplines.
• Experience working on large‑scale projects, preferably in the Middle East and with major operators or EPC contractors.
